A West Virginia man was killed and two more injured in a truck accident on Saturday.
The accident occurred as a 41-year-old man was traveling southbound down U.S. 301 and hit the rear of a semi-truck that was stopped at a traffic light.
Two other West Virginia men, ages 20 and 34, were transported to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured in the event. The accident remains under investigation at this time.

More than 50 professional truck drivers, who represented more than a dozen trucking companies in West Virginia, participated in an event on June 12 to show off their skills and and to be honored for their safety performances.
During the event, drivers were recognized for driving with an excellence in safety. A driver from Yellow Roadway Corp. was announced 2009 Driver of the Year. The man has driven for 36 years and has a total of 3.9 million miles behind the wheel. The man hasn’t had a chargeable accident in over 28 years.
Another man won the 2009 Police Safety Award, he has driven for 38 years and has a total of 3.8 million miles driven.

Police are looking for the driver who caused an accident and then left the scene. The woman was on her way to work when a tractor-trailer or flatbed truck crashed into her car on Route 119.
West Virginia officials said the the driver of the truck never stopped because there is no evidence that there was any attempt to stop whatsoever. The woman’s co-workers said that she was a hard working wonderful girl. Police are continuing to investigate the accident and find the driver that caused this terrible accident.
